Liens grouped by topic general 1. In all documents and templates revise tense to be past Action: revise for IHW (archive) CDs 2. In all references, especially templates, be consistent with author designation, using PDS standard as paradigm, e.g., last name as joined set of characters Action: TA will check if Last Name paradigm is ok; inlcude on IHW CDs 3. In all descriptions in document or templates attempt to be consistent with the quality of the text and provide recent values. Action: defer to all documentation available from ESA SP1127 and other experiments (MISCHA, APV-N, TKS) in progress 4. Provide map of BLISI time to occurence in UT time, or map of other independent time, such as the DUCMA clock. Action: complete before IHW CDs Data 1. solve problem to distinguish tabular data in FITS byte stream form rather than ascii table with carriage control. One possibility is to provide a simple look-up table if needed with specific extension that will distinguish types. An alternative approach is to combine the FITS byte streams into genuine FITS and duplicate the data as a flat ascii table with PDS label. 2. convert data tables in binary form (PM-1, TN-M, SP-1) to ascii carriage control tables. Decide whether the files will be duplicated or replaced. For those datasets (Mischa, TKS, and APV-N) which may be held back, determine the usefulness of including the data in its current IHW FITS form. Documentation 1. check comments for Volinfo, voldesc, aareadme, specform, hrdform, pds_ihw, pdslabel, softinfo, and indxinfo files. Action: Provided comments in update files; John K to complete. Szego, A'Hearn, Grayzeck Almar and Raugh will compare notes and look at index files. Action:met on Thur, May 26 to go over problem. Tables of matching files are presented. Key data is reviewed. Conclude that all data be kept and correlation noted. 2. resolve time discrepancy for the new (non-encounter) KFKI submission. Action: met on Thur, May 26, to go over preprints, hand logs, and Published articles. Reviewed the images that look to be identified. Szego will review image tape (and send copy) as well as talk to L. Varhalmi about the log of start/stop times. ACTION: Anne will correct for IHW CDs MAG/GIO 1. file mag00001 needs new fill character (-999) to replace *. Action: Anne will convert for IHW CDs 2. the description of the coord system should be right handed. Correct in the documentation and data labels. Action: corrected 3. comparison of MAG data and that listed in JPAMERG1 file show time differences and value differences. Investigate the former which may be due to time bins chosen. Action: Coates determined that time difference (up to 4.77s) occurs for JPA merged data. He needs to check logs about the choice of "binning" times, middle or start. Initial resolution of 8 sec is changed in these comparison. Value difference could be due to interpolation. JPAMERG1 is the normal file. JPAMERG2 is derived from GIOMERGE that was passed to many institutions with processing for time comparisons. Coates will determine what cautionary statement must be made for uses. IMF/SAK 1. coord system must be right handed Action: corrected for IHW CDs 2. angles in the data file appear to be defined different than Nature article. Action: AC will verify definition DID/GIO 1. Festou will supply reprocessed data (post 1990) to the later addenda CD volume and will attempt to include gaseous measurements as well. Action: defer to addenda CD PIA/GIO (PUMA/VEGA) 1. data does show values but sorting to identify with Clark Atlas is unclear. Festou will contact Langevin to identify technique. Schwehm will contact Clark and maybe Kissel to find the formula needed to interpert spectra. The problem remains that there may be no general formula but at least a method can be suggested or referenced. Action: defer to the addenda CD MISCHA/VEGA 1. inadequate documentaion or description. Contact K. Schwingenschuh (or Chris Russell through Ray Walker) to get information. Data may be held back if proper documentation is not found. Action: Ray contacted Chris R requesting data. He also plotted up the MISCHA data and found it to vary randomly. Strongly recommends pursuing Russell data and reject current submission. 2. data in ARRAY form is hard to use; it should be flat ascii tables. Action: Anne will convert tables. APV-N/VEGA 1. inadequate documentation and description. Contact Klimov (or M Verigin (IKI) through Karoly Szego) to get information. Data may be held back if proper documentation is not found. Action:e-mail sent to Verigin for address TN-M/VEGA 1. new dataset and instrument description will be provided by Szego group Data is understood and should be transformed to ascii; Szego will provide. Festou worked with Vladimir to plot some spectra and determine that they were NUVI. Ascii table of data were selected for review by Festou. Vladimir will revise his document to include the information contained in Moreels et al (Heidleberg proceding Vol 1) about pointing and his log book. 2. reformat data appropriately after determining how to separate into the "scanning" versus "linear" mapping modes. Action: data forwarded to Festou; Anne will reformat file as needed 3. Festou will contact Moreels Action: 3rd party contact (MF student) indicates non-cooperation ALL EXPERIMENTS/ALL MISSIONS 1. each reviwer should combine their notes into a descriptive paragraph sharing the methods of data access and suggestions on quality and quantity of work involved.
