Outline of steps in Review Process: 1. Organize effort to allow narrow focus 2. Propose time table for review 3. Provide easy access to the data with suggestions 4. Set procedure to allow public access to comments 5. Hold telecon to detail progress 6. Settle on procedure for Catalog Report -> 7. Outline workshop goals 8. Hold workshop to complete review 9. Set guidelines to improve data and documentation May 18, 1994 Dear Colleague. We are hosting a two day workshop in May (May 23 and 24 (only 2 days), which has been adjusted for participants of the AGU in Baltimore, MD. A preliminary agenda for discussing the experiments is attached; we will cover the Catalog Report templates during discussion of each experiment. Demos are planned; UNIX workstations are available. We have already begun to collect comments from reviewers. These are now posted in our anonymous "ftp" area "pub" directory under "ihwspace"; on Internet, this can be reached by "ftp astro.umd.edu" (128.8.251.57) login: "anonymous". I can set up a similar area for SPAN (STARS) if needed. There are subdirectories for "telecon","software",and "correspondence already sent to each reviewer". We will deal with the letters for reimbursement to the participants (either as honoraria or travel expenses) at the workshop since we determined that the invitation and agreement can be done here at Maryland. See you early next week. Ed Grayzeck Small Bodies Node PS. Please post any comments about the use of the CDs or review of the data before 9 AM EDT on Friday, May 20.
