Greetings Reviewers! Data from the Dust Detection System (DDS) of both Galileo and Ulysses are being ingested into the PDS. Hardcopy of the data, PDS labels and PDS templates will be mailed to you shortly. These will include: ULYSSES ulmiss.cat - Description of the mission ulhost.cat - Description of the spacecraft (instrument host) ulydinst.cat - Description of the detector system ulyd.cat - PDS Template describing the data and calibration files ulyddust.tab - The dust impact data delivered to date ulyddust.lbl - PDS label explaining the format and values in ulydcode.tab ulydcode.tab - Data file of codes and their corresponding values ulydcode.lbl - PDS label explaining the format and values in ulydcode.tab ulydcalb.tab - Calibration data used to go from instrumental to physical values ulydarea.tab - A calibration file of the exposed detection area as a function of impact angle ulydarea.lbl - PDS label explaining the format and values in ulydarea.tab In the meantime, all of these files are available at the Dust Subnode Website: http://dorothy.as.arizona.edu:8008/~sykes/DUST/dust.html Please look over all of the files. See if the text makes sense an see if the data makes sense too! Sometimes descriptions may be clear to us (after long enough) and garbage to others. Be critical. We have added an on-the-fly plotting capability to the webpage so that these data will be viable into the indefinite future, and the time to resolve uncertainiyies is now - while people are still around who can answer the questions that come up! Your comments and suggestions for improvements will be concatonated as liens against the data sets. The data sets will have been considered to be formally ingested once these liens are cleared.
