• Mission Catalog File
  • This is a duplicate of the MISSION.CAT file included in SBN's IRAS Zodiacal Dust Archive. Should this catalog file be ingested or should the IRAS Tempel 1 Archive point to the existing IRAS MISSION.CAT file?

  • Changed MISSION_ALIAS_NAME from "NEAR" to "IRAS". Changed 2003-05-27. .

• IR-FPA Detector Table and Catalog
  • The table, label, and catalog files contained in the the IRAS Zodiacal Dust Archive may need to be included.

• Filter Response Tables

  For the IRAS Tempel 1 Archive, Russell Walker suppled one filter response table for each of the 4 channels of the IR-FPA. However, the tables in this archive differ from those contained in the IRAS Zodiacal Dust Archive:

  • The filter tables in the IRAS Tempel 1 Archive include only the wavelength and relative spectral response. The equivalent filter tables in the IRAS Zodiacal Dust Archive include the wavelength, optics transmittance, relative detector response, and relative spectral response.

  • The 12-micron table in the IRAS Tempel 1 Archive includes an entry for 7.636 microns. This entry is not included in the equivalent table for the IRAS Zodiacal Dust Archive.

  • The 100-micron table in the IRAS Tempel 1 Archive includes an entry at the end for 145.000 microns with a relative spectral response of 0.000. The equivalent table for the IRAS Zodiacal Dust Archive does not include this entry. Its last entry is for 140.0 microns with a relative spectral response of 0.010.
