General Liens for all MIRO data sets ==================================== Rest frequencies of the individual spectral windows are not given (or not obvious to me). I believe these are required for a full analysis. file: 'CATALOG/INSTHOST.CAT' --> typo: line 523 coul -> could --> typos: lines 1349-1350 "battery discharge alarm shall heve remained enabled all the time" to "battery discharge alarm remained enabled all the time." --> typo: line 1636 noth -> north file: 'CATALOG/MISSION.CAT' --> typos: lines 85,87,533,534,540 Manouver -> Maneuver file: 'CATALOG/REF.CAT' --> Ensure that this file is the latest version before archiving. Most are not. file: 'DOCUMENT/MIRO_READ_DATA.ASC' --> This script assumes that the files are in uppercase, but PDS3 is case insensitive. This can cause problems for case-sensitive file systems, and in cases where the files are forced to lowercase. Python code maintenance is NOT an archive issue, though it might help contemporary users if the code were modified as suggested, or if an explicit note either in the code or in the label said "File names are assumed to be in uppercase", or similar. file: 'DOCUMENT/RO_MIR_IF_0001.*' --> Abbr. "S/C" on p1 of "ro_mir_if_0001.pdf" not defined file: 'DOCUMENT/USER_MANUAL.PDF' --> Suggestion: A bookmarked or clickable table of contents would be very helpful due to the size of this document. --> The resampling description (Section 9.8 of User Guide) is a little sparse. If possible, please add details about how the process was applied to the MIRO data specifically. files: 'INDEX/INDEX.*' --> VOLUME_ID is missing. It is required as a column or, if all files have the same value, as a keyword. Liens unique to Level 3 MIRO data sets ====================================== file: 'CATALOG/DATASET.CAT --> ABSTRACT_DESC: Note that EXT2 mentioned Geometry level 3 data, where as the others only mention "Spectroscopic and Continuum" level 3 data. But I see that all data sets contain all three types. --> CITATION_DESC: The author list is not the same for each data set. Please ensure they are correct. Also please remove all instances of 'et al.' and fill in with the authors. --> --> Note that EXT3 is missing P. Springer and has a different author order. --> --> Note that 'et al.' is found only in ESC3 thru EXT3 --> DATA_SET_DESC: EXT3 contains a 20 line 'Note on Processing Level' discussion that the other data sets do not contain. Should it be in the others as well? --> --> Also this text talks about some level 4 CTS data. If that is the case, perhaps it should be mentioned in the ABSTRACT_DESC. --> CONFIDENCE_LEVEL_NOTE: Update this section after the review. It states that the data is under review. --> --> EXT3 appears to have old text from prior versions, talking about the calibration still being under development. Is this still true? If so, it should be mentioned in the other data sets as well, assuming it applies there as well. file: 'DOCUMENT/DOCINFO.TXT' --> This file will need to be updated after newer versions of some files are put in this directory. The version information currently listed is actually wrong for several documents already. file: 'DOCUMENT/MIRO_READ_DATA.*' --> The level 4 version of these files appears to be an upgrade. Suggest putting them here as well. files: 'DOCUMENT/RO_MIR_IF_0001.*' --> A newer version of this document can be found in the level 4 data sets (v4.4 vs v4.7). file: 'DOCUMENT/USER_MANUAL.*' --> A newer version of this document can be found in the level 4 data sets (v6.2 vs v6.4). files: 'LABEL/*.FMT' --> These files need to be replaced with the updated versions provided by MIRO team, and to the reviewers as l3_format_files_update.tgz (or level3_FMTs.tar provided by MIRO). These changes included: =================== (1) adding the line INVALID_CONSTANT = -999.00 (2) changing from -999.0 to -999.00 in the description (3) changing the FORMAT from "F6.2" to "F7.2" for these columns. =================== Liens unique to Level 4 MIRO data sets ====================================== files: 'AAREADME.TXT' --> PSA-Diego: The text "made by and Lei Pan" is either missing someone listed or is a typo. file: 'CATALOG/DATASET.CAT --> ABSTRACT_DESC: Should the Geometry data be mentioned, as was in L3 EXT2? --> ABSTRACT_DESC: The last sentence "contains updated documentation". Is that for the MIRO mission, since there are no prior versions of this data set? If so, what kind of documentation? mission-wide documentation? May not need to include this sentence. --> CITATION_DESC: Please remove all instances of 'et al.' and fill in with the authors. We cannot resolve "et al." in the ADS. --> DATA_SET_DESC: Should there be any discussion about the geometry data? --> CONFIDENCE_LEVEL_NOTE: Update this section after the review. It states that the data is under review. file: 'DOCUMENT/DOCINFO.TXT' --> The entry for RO_MIR_IF_0001.PDF should update the version text from "Version 4.6" to "Version 4.7" to reflect the correct documentation version. --> The entry for USER_MANUAL.PDF should update the version text from "Version 6.3, dated 2018 May" to "Version 6.4, dated 2018 June" file: 'LABEL/CTSFOLDED_LEVEL_4_FORMAT.FMT' --> The CTS folded format (fmt) file, COLUMN_NUMBER 14, et al., appear to have a typo. "Doppler shift velocities" should be "Doppler shifted velocities", or even better "cometocentric velocities".
